Boba Tea has transcended the novelty product space and become mainstream. Shared in a recent DataM Intelligence Report, the global bubble tea market reached 2.94 billion in 2022. The market is projected to grow to 5.32 billion by 2031.
This growth is driven by many factors including the increase in caffeinated beverage consumption, associated health benefits of ingredients (green tea, fruits, natural antioxidants), and unique taste and texture.
With the increase in demand, franchise brands are adding Boba products to their menus. A recent press release from Botrista shared news of their new partnership with Pokeworks; a national franchise brand serving up unique poke bowls and salads. Through this partnership, Pokeworks will roll out a f Boba Teas, and Smoothies that are indicated to pair well with their menu items.
“Our guests are thrilled with our Signature Drinks, the new premium drink options we now offer,” said Mike Wu, Co-Founder and Head of Culinary at Pokeworks. “These beverages, made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, perfectly enhance the authentic flavors of our poke cuisine.”
Botrista’s slogan is “trendy drinks, smart profits.” This concept of partnership and collaboration is an avenue to explore in the franchise industry and could provide immense value to franchisors and franchisees. Important though is finding the right fit, and right partners on that journey.
“Pokeworks embodies the spirit of freshness and a welcoming cuisine,” said Rex Huang, VP of Beverage Innovation at Botrista. “We’re excited to share these values and partner with Pokeworks to offer elevated drinks that consumers crave when they want something fresh and delicious.”
