The Designery, a comprehensive kitchen, bath, and closet design center known for its high-quality cabinets, countertops, and flooring, is opening the doors to its first location in the Greater Cincinnati area. The new showroom, located at 1895 Airport Exchange Boulevard, Suite 220, Erlanger, Kentucky, will host a grand opening celebration on October 23th, from 4 to 6 p.m., featuring a ribbon-cutting ceremony, giveaways, and door prizes from brands like Yeti and Solo Stove.
The event marks the entry of The Designery into the southern Ohio and northern Kentucky market. The Designery offers residents a unique blend of customized design services and vast product selection to choose from. Their aim is to simplify home renovation projects by providing in-house design expertise and more than 100 cabinet styles under one roof. Furthermore they are incorporating new tech such as virtual reality design views. These VR environments allow customers to visualize their home upgrades before committing. This takes some of the stress away from making one could be big decision for a home owner.
Expanding Design Expertise to the Cincinnati Region
The Designery Cincinnati Metro is owned by Joel and Amy Senger, who moved to the Cincinnati area from the Dallas-Fort Worth region in April 2023. The couple’s background in construction and real estate finance uniquely positions them to cater to the renovation needs of homeowners across the region.
“We owned and operated Senger Custom Homes in Texas where we specialized in customized new home builds and high-end renovations and remodels,” said Joel Senger. “After moving to the Cincinnati area last year, we began remodeling the home that we purchased. When we had trouble finding one place that offered everything we needed for our remodeling project, we decided to draw upon our experience and bring a Designery location to this area.”
Joel Senger, originally from Montana, spent nearly a decade working as a homebuilder and superintendent for DR Horton and Antares Homes in Texas. His background in custom cabinetry earned him the title of Best Remodeling Contractor from Fort Worth Magazine in 2019, and he shared he won an award for best outdoor environment in 2021. Amy Senger brings nearly 20 years of experience in real estate finance and the mortgage industry, and she’s eager to support clients throughout the Cincinnati area with their design projects.
A New Hub for Homeowners and Contractors
The Designery’s new Cincinnati Metro location will serve a broad area, including cities like Covington, Edgewood, Erlanger, Fort Mitchell, and Newport in Kentucky, as well as Blue Ash, Cincinnati, Loveland, and Mason in Ohio. By offering a one-stop solution for design, materials, and consultation, the Sengers hope to make home renovation more accessible and enjoyable for their clients.
“We believe the skills we’ve gained over the past several years in the construction and real estate financing industries will give us a competitive edge,” Amy Senger shared. “We also love it here. The people are so incredibly friendly. The pace is much slower than the larger urban area we came from, but it’s still large enough to find something fun to do.”
With their combined expertise and passion for design, the Sengers hope The Designery Cincinnati Metro becomes a go-to resource for residents looking to transform their homes with high-quality, personalized solutions.
