7-Eleven Joins Forces with Boys & Girls Clubs to Empower Youth with Project A-Game™

For generations, 7-Eleven has been a go-to pit stop for kids fresh out of school. With a Slurpee in one hand and a bag of chips in the other, these quick convenience store visits have been a cherished part of growing up. Now, 7-Eleven is channeling that same energy into something even bigger: empowering today’s youth through its revamped Project A-Game™ initiative, which now includes a partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA).

With this collaboration, 7-Eleven is taking its commitment to the community to the next level, inviting franchise owners to apply for $1,000 matching grants to benefit their local Boys & Girls Clubs or similar youth organizations. This initiative encourages local store operators to strengthen educational programs for kids in their neighborhoods.

“Collaborating with Boys & Girls Clubs of America strengthens our ability to create a lasting positive impact in the communities where we operate,” said Marissa Jarratt, Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing and Sustainability Officer at 7-Eleven, Inc. “By working alongside one of the country’s most respected organizations, we can help local store operators make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people, promoting academic success, community engagement, and personal growth.”

Boys & Girls Clubs: A Legacy of Shaping Futures

The Boys & Girls Clubs of America has long been a lifeline for children and teens, especially in underserved communities. With over 3 million youth served across 5,400 facilities, the organization provides vital programs that improve school attendance, foster positive behavior, boost graduation rates, and encourage civic engagement. Their work goes far beyond just providing a safe space—it’s about helping kids realize their full potential and build brighter futures.

This new collaboration with 7-Eleven aligns seamlessly with the BGCA’s mission, bringing resources and attention to the neighborhoods that need it most.

More Than Just a Convenience Store

Since the inception of Project A-Game, 7-Eleven has awarded nearly 5,700 grants, totaling nearly $4 million in community investment. This latest partnership builds on that legacy, offering both nostalgia and hope. The next time a kid walks into a 7-Eleven, it might not just be for a Big Gulp; it could also be to benefit from a BGCA program funded by their local store.

So whether you’re a parent reminiscing about your childhood snack runs or a franchise owner showing their Franchise Heart ready to give back, this initiative ensures that 7-Eleven remains a cornerstone of both memories and meaningful change.
